Negar Taheri is a fashion and textile designer whose creative journey began in childhood, shaped by a deep fascination with color, form, and texture. From an early age, she has been intrigued by how these visual elements can come together to create a distinctive and beautiful artistic expression.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Stage and Costume Design and a Master’s degree in Textile and Fashion Design. These experiences have shaped her approach to visual storytelling, composition, and the exploration of textile and fashion design.
For Negar, design is not simply about creating a beautiful form; it is about creating a feeling, an atmosphere, and a narrative. To discover this feeling, she looks to the world around her — to nature, cultural heritage, architecture, mythology, symbols, and ancient narratives from cultures across the world.
Color, form, and emotion lie at the heart of her design language. Through fashion and textile design, she seeks to transform these elements into contemporary works that possess a distinctive visual identity while preserving the roots of their inspiration and the narrative behind their creation.
At the heart of this approach lies a desire to preserve and give lasting life to the world’s valuable visual treasures. Through design, she seeks to document and reinterpret these values, translating them into a contemporary visual language and carrying them into the future — allowing the beauty and visual heritage of today’s world to endure and be reimagined by future generations.
Just as a camera captures a moment, she seeks to transform clothing into a medium for capturing the visual values of the world; allowing nature, cultural heritage, architecture, mythology, and meaningful narratives to be captured through form, color, texture, and pattern — to be seen again and carried forward into the future.
